ABOUT

Hi and thank you for stopping by. My name is Christine; Yotsuba (四つ葉よつば) is what I call my little clan of Blythe dolls. I'm also on Instagram at @yotsuba_blythes (formerly @yotsub4). That name refers to the four leaf clover, in Japanese.

I do this a lot when travelling.
(Shinjuku Gyoen during an autumn 2016 trip)

I live in tropical city-state Singapore. With my Blythe dolls, I like to explore countries, cultures, and my imagination. To me, they embody a myriad of creative possibilities, and thus are a wonderful creative refuge.

Besides Blythe dolls, I am also very partial to dollhouse miniatures, certain vinyl toy figures, ceramics, fountain pens and fabric. So, I tend to collect these items as well. My ever-growing stash of fabrics is partly because I enjoy sewing and, since the pandemic, crochet. My sewing and crochet endeavours will pop up on this blog.

Notwithstanding some of these quirks, I am just an ordinary and introverted work-in-progress who also has typical interests such as good food, reading, sewing, travelling, watching stuff like anime, films, TV shows....

The world in my head — of stories, travels, craft projects and Blythe dolls — is my place of comfort and refuge, a sanctuary from this sometimes mundane, sometimes maddening world we live in. Hence the title of my blog. Or should it be an Imaginarium or Fantasia?

Anyway, if you've been following this blog with me, thank you very much for your interest and for coming along for the ride. I hope I have been able to share some fun with you, and wish you much joy in your endeavours.
