| The dolls at the HortPark Blythe Meet, 12.11.2016 |
Last Saturday, the BCSG committee were having a committee meeting-cum-impromptu Blythe meet at HortPark.
 |
| My Chinatown craft loot |
Though I'm not on the committee, I thought it was a good opportunity to formally present Miss Joaquim to the committee (a thought shared by others), and to take photographs of her at HortPark when they conducted their committee business. Guess that
makes this my 2nd Blythe meet, of sorts.
Actually, the day started with Caramelaw and me craft shopping in Chinatown.
We came away with some loot - me more than her. Oops, I just lost myself in the fat quarters fabric section at Golden Dragon. And sewing tools can be pretty expensive.... Caramelaw was hoping to pick up more beads and plastic cabochons at Shino Beads, but it was closed. We did pick up some items at another bead shop. I picked up some neon-coloured delica glass beads, thinking I could use them for Candy Land items I have planned. (Obviously for whom?!)
Anyway, back to the BCSG meeting-cum-Blythe meet.

| Miss Joaquim at HortPark |
While waiting for the others to arrive, Caramelaw and I took a bunch of photographs of Miss Joaquim (MJ, for short) at the HortPark Visitor Centre - especially the large and colourful mosaic wall.

I took a few of shots that I have been dying to take: MJ together with her creator!

And Caramelaw got a shot of me shooting MJ - a rare one of me appearing with the subjects I am photographing!

I also brought along Elizabeth Rose,
my K07 Doll custom, but did not take as many photographs of her in HortPark because MJ was the focus of the photo session. Anyway, the photographs of MJ
will be have been
posted separately.

That said, Elizabeth did have some air-time alone, as well as with MJ.

Went around the park to photograph MJ, but we didn't make it very far (not past the community gardens) because the rain clouds rolled in and the rumbling thunder promised heavy rainfall. We returned to the Lifestyle Corner of the Visitor Centre and took some photos there.

BCSG t-shirts!
|
After the BCSG committee were done with their meeting, MJ made her formal debut to them amidst some pomp and fanfare. She happily received her oohs and aahs. She totally adored the adulation.
At the meet was also the de-boxing of another Blythen's recent adoptee - a
Milky Tea London custom doll.

The Milky Tea London doll is really the sweetest thing. And her dress is super poof and absolutely gorgeous! She also has a cute little white kitten.

Photo shoot time!

Elizabeth Rose is all comfy in her corner.

 |
| More photograph time between the creator and her creations! |
We end it all with a bunch of group photos (dolls and people). And I got another shot of Caramelaw with her creations, Totoro and Miss Joaquim.
