[Back Post] Kyushu with Momiji, Day 13~14: Nanba Asagaya & Kimura
Dinner at Nanba Asagaya: the most number of Juyondai I've seen at one time, in one place (on IG). |
Final instalment of this Kyushu road trip (itinerary below), we were back to Tokyo for the last couple of days. Frankly we didn't do much. It was all about eating. (ˆ ڡ ˆ) We were lucky this trip, and got a dinner booking at Sushi Nanba Asagaya (now Sushi Shunsuke), and lunch on our last day at Kimura-san's (Sushi Kimura).
Hubby decided to try the miso ramen at Kagari this time. |
As usual, popped in to our favourite ramen place Kagari for that bowl of tori paitan soba... faithfully, every trip since 2015 (*^▽^*)ゞ It's even more convenient now with the branch at Otemachi, which is super duper close to our hotel.
Food trucks around lunch time at Otemachi, Tokyo. |
These days, we find Otemachi is a good place to stay at, as a matter of convenience. Because it's largely an office area, it's less crowded than the Tokyo Station area (Yaesu/Marunouchi). But there's always decent food places around the place, especially some of the back streets, and with Otemachi Station (Tokyo metro line), it's also very accessible and convenient.
All parts of the ebi: the body, the nou-miso, and the roe, at Sushi Nanba Asagaya. Didn't take photos of the food, oops! |
Dinner at Sushi Nanba Asagaya was a good experience, and I'm not just saying that because of the array of Juyondai sake that we got to drink, or because Chef Takaoka and his assistants are ikemen. (*≧▽≦)ノシ

And...that's the end of this Japan road trip! Until then...またね!
